Q001:

CLASS RULES (Policies and Procedures)

 (derules.htm).

HOW TO SIGN-IN and RECORD PARTICIPATION (Atten/Partic Form)

Most important. At least twice / week, submit this form that contains your section#, name, date, Total Points to-date (the sum of previous + today's points) and an explanation / justification of today's points -- 25T means  25 points for checking in, plus possibly 25 points if you worked on a team, indicate the initials of the team member, like 25JA. Plus the short name of the assignment, like 100email for email assignment.  Look at the form that it generates, note the work done by your classmates. Note the order of the form.  Note how points increase.

This form is the key to all my classes. It is imperative that you understand it. Please describe below how you use this form, so others can understand. Explain how you compute Total Points, and explain points entered, please.

Q002:   Analyzing Web Sites.  (757-webcritique)

Analyze at least (6) web sites.   Describe what you like about them.  Name at least 4 characteristics that you think "communicate"  information effectively.   Give the URL of the site,  and add below your (4) comments.   If you find a "mega site" you may just describe (10) characteristics of it in place of the (6) mentioned above.   Please create quality responses.  100 pts  757-webcritique.   You may come back to do this one later.

Q003:  "Famous Auciello Slide Show"  (non-scrolling)  (757slideshow)

You were given / will be given  the source code.   Your job is find out how to add images and music.   Say "motif" aloud.   Try to make the music and the art reinforce each other.   This is easy for artistic students,  and usually difficult for "technically-inclined" students.  So "go out of the box" on this.  Also, as in all assignments,  you are encouraged to work together.   50 pts per image-song, Max 400 pts.  757-slideshow.

Fall 03:  We will do this as class project,  This will become a key piece of your web-site.   You will do a family album,  a 'coming out' ceremony for 15yr old young lady, or a slide show representing some commercial product.   Please respond with "I understand, Prof. A."

Q004:  Graphics Editor

You need to be able to resize, crop, brighten and edit images.  I like Adobe Photoshop 5 or 7.   Others are Graphics Workshop,  MS Photoed,  MS Paint, (I will add others later.)   Describe what Image Editor you have  and how you got it.    10 pts for answering question.   (757mh-4)

Q005:  ART WITH MUSIC PROJECT

Open this up in a separate window.  There are different sources of information.  The best is "direct, hands-on" experience.  Then reading from a Help Sheet, book, or the Web,  then learning from others (indirect experience).   Write quality answers,  as deep as you can, always stating the source of your information.

This is a row in a table.   For each line below, explain it. to be able to resize, c

Q006:  THE 'FORM' PROJECT.

I WANT TO GIVE THIS TOPIC THE GREAT EMPHASIS THAT IT DESERVES.   FORMS -- WHICH IS THE ABILITY TO ACCEPT USER INFORMATION, THEN PROCESS IT  MEANS THAT YOUR WEB SITE HAS INTERACTIVITY AND COULD LEAD TO E-COMMERCE.  BUILDING A DATABASE FROM RESPONSES IS THE NEXT STEP!
